Miami Fashion Launch 2013 on November 1 will be an evening of couture fashion, art, music and entertainment at Multitudes 54 Gallery in Miami. Lee County's own Lia Martino will play a key role in making the event a huge success.
Miami Fashion Launch 2013 is “A Masquerade Black Carpet Event” featuring runway models trained by the Catwalk Pros, along with established and upcoming fashion designers, artists, singers, dancers, musicians and performers. Local dignitaries, including television and sports personalities are expected among the who’s who attending this glamorous Miami fashion scene happening. A cocktail reception, boutique shopping and live entertainment are sure to keep guests thrilled. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., with a VIP reception beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Catwalk Pros’ runway models will be showcasing sophisticated and edgy collections by guest designer Tanya Marie and unforgettable designs by Liz Taylor, Alexandra Lin, Angela Andrade, Casey Levan, as well as handmade handbags by House of LaMaica and jewelry designs by Goddess Collection. Make-up will be provided by Inglot Miami and hair styling by Kaizen Beauty School.
Guests will rock to the beat of DJ Derek, be amazed by the voice of Vanessa D, have the opportunity to see the work of gifted 14-year-old fashion designer Christopher Abella, and witness amazing and talented upcoming performers, singers and musicians. All the while, the incredible Fashion Forward Art of Lia Martino will serve as backdrop and set the mood for the evening's festivities. An accomplished runway model herself, Martino's fashion-inspired art graces local Saks Fifth Avenue stores and more than 600 Chico's windows nationwide.
“I am extremely happy to be able to bring this event to Miami, and excited to have the opportunity to showcase established and upcoming fashion designers, artists and performers,” said Sandra Ward, President and CEO of host Catwalk Pros, which was founded in 2009 with the mission of utilizing fashion as a vehicle for providing young men and women with the essential tools for building confidence and self-esteem.
“This is a great way to mix art and fashion while supporting two great community organizations, Do The Right Thing of Miami, Inc. and The Miami Police Athletic League” said CatWalk Pros Vice President Vernet Pegues. A portions of the net proceeds from the event will benefit Do The Right Thing of Miami, Inc. (DTRT), whose purpose is to recognize and reward Miami youth for their exemplary behavior, accomplishments and good deeds, and the Miami Police Athletic League (Miami PAL), whose mission is to enhance the relationship between the City of Miami Police Department and the youth of the community.
