LGBT White House Family Conference

This weekend is the 17th Annual Midwest Family Equality Conference, and the White House has thrown their hat into the ring for the first ever to be a part of this conference.

The White House LGBT Conference on Families is being this Saturday, April 28th, 2012 from 8AM to Noon at Burroughs Community School. Online registrations for this conference are closed, but you can register when you arrive between 7AM -8AM.

Midwest Family Equality Council, formerly known as Rainbow Families has been a staple in the LGBT community by not only throwing this annual conference, and participating at Pride festivals, but by having several events throughout the year specifically geared towards same sex families with children.

Since Minnesota is debating the right for same sex couples to marry, it’ll be interesting to hear the White House’s stance on LGBT families, and their goal to push forward our agenda in being equal.
