The 2.62-mile course pays homage to the official 26.2 marathon, running on the same day. Runners, joggers, and walkers may participate in the fun run, moving at their own paces to complete the scenic lakefront and lagoon-circling trip to end up at the same finish line as the longer race.
The LFM Community Unity Fun Run starts at 8:30 a.m.
Online registration is available until 8:30 a.m. on October 6. On-site race-day registration may also be an option. Early registrants for the LFM Community Unity Fun Run receive commemorative tee shirts. Tees may be offered to later sign-ups, as supplies permit.
Proceeds from the untimed race will benefit Girls on the Run of Greater Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Police Department Endurance Club, two local fitness programs for young people.
