Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Lexington (located in Lexington Green) is opening it’s doors to every ghost, ghoul, and goblin on Halloween (Saturday, October 31st) at 11am. Kids are encouraged to dress in their costumes for the second annual Spooktacular event. There will be storytelling, songs, and a trick-or-treat all through the store.

Moms and Dads, don’t feel left out. If you hang around until 1pm, Joseph-Beth will celebrate Kentucky Romance Writers Day with visits from several of Kentucky’s finest including Sheryl Brennan, Teresa Reasor, Jules Bennett, Toni Blake, Dianne Castell, LuAnn McLane, Rosemary Laurey, Patricia Rice, Shiloh Walker, Molly Harper, and Anya Bast, according to their website. Readers will have the chance to have books signed and get to meet with the authors.

Barnes and Noble in Lexington (located in Hamburg) will also have a book signing. Keven McQueen will be there autographing his book Forgotten Tales of Kentucky at 1pm. Bookamillion says McQueen “offers an entertaining, if not peculiar, hodgepodge of unfamiliar Bluegrass history.”

Don’t forget to check your local newspaper for additional spooky events. Also check out these sites: Haunted Houses in Kentucky, Kentucky Pumpkin Patch Directory, and Lexington Halloween Events.

Have a safe and happy Halloween.
