Yes. A pair fo jeans can make a mob of women line up from corner to corner in the center of San Francisco's Union Square. Why? Two reasons. 1. Because they were free. 2. Because these jeans will change your life.
On the foggiest and muggiest day of September, people were posted as early as three o'clock in the morning, some even with sleeping bags, just to receive a pair of Levi's latest creation: CurveID Denim. A women-targeted, custom fit, perfect for your curves, denim style system that promises to alleviate saddle bags, muffin top, and other womanly worries.
Aside from the hundreds of women lined up waiting for their determined "fitting schedule," there were also several tents. The tents were where CurveID recipients could try on Curve ID jeans until they found their own perfect match.
From 10 AM to 6 PM, organized through colored wristbands, while people were being paired with their denim destinies, Zoey Deshanel's band She & Him performed and style guide, Bobbie Thomas, made an appearance.
FYI: The denim weren't entirely free. In exchange for a pair of Curve ID denim, customers were instructed to bring a pair of something that doesn't fit to donate to Goodwill. (Who were on hand at the event.) A great way to do good and gain something good, no?
Check out our slideshow (on the side) of the Levi's Curve ID mania and be sure to check out http://www.thebeautybohemian.com to read about the Curve ID blogger party meet-up, which happened on a much quieter and low key Tuesday at the Levi's Union Square flagship store long before Friday's free denim mayhem.
