'Leverage' season 5 is being released on DVD

"Leverage" may be off the air, but there is some good news (though it isn't what would be the best news, which would be a new season) for fans. On Friday, Jan. 25, executive producer Dean Devlin tweeted some great news for those who were wondering about season 5 being released on DVD:

"GOOD NEWS ‪#LEVERAGE FANS!! Fox has decided to release Season 5 DVD's!! Details coming soon!!"

Back when we spoke to Devlin about the series finale, he told us that while they hadn't had a deal yet for the season 5 DVD to be released, they had already created the commentaries and behind-the-scenes extras for it. And one of the possible special features includes the alternate exit for Sophie and Nate that would've been put in "The Long Goodbye Job" if the series had gotten a sixth season instead of being cancelled days before the series finale aired on Christmas. And even though the series has been cancelled, Devlin had also told us, "We love the show, we love this cast, and there are more stories we want to tell, so if there is a way to revive the show in some other format, we'll do it." So while we haven't heard anything about that, at least fans will be able to complete their DVD collections with the fifth season.

"Leverage" season 5 is coming out on DVD. Will you be buying it?
