Today’s column is actually a message from my Guide, Charles. I first met Charles circa 1988, after I began communicating with Spirit with automatic writing. Charles wrote with me every day for about 3 months and helped me learn how to communicate directly with Spirit during meditation. The following is a channeled message from Charles that he wrote for my Facebook page in January 2013, and I’m including it in today’s column because its message is an important one for all of us:
‘Greetings. Let us talk about light. It is spoken of frequently and by many, but what is this light? The light is your soul. The light is who you really are. When incarnated, we are beings of energy housed in an organic body and that energy is seen as light. There are songs about this light, i.e. 'This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine…,' but how does one go about letting one’s light shine? Before we can truly let our light shine and positively affect those around us, we have to first take care of ourselves. Imagine you’re on a plane and the air masks drop from the ceiling—you must first put on your own air mask before you can assist others in need of help, correct? What we are saying is to give yourself regular tune ups so that you are at your best and your light is shining so brightly that just by being near you, others will feel your energy and be positively affected by it. Taking care of yourself is the prerequisite to truly being able to assist others. Meditating regularly will recharge your batteries and your light will shine brighter. Think of the colors of your aura as a mirror to the health and wellness level of both your soul and your body—the colors indicate what your feeling mentally, emotionally, and physically; and an EXCELLENT way to tune up your body and keep your light burning bright is to balance your chakras: meditating and doing some chakra work will recharge your batteries mentally and physically, and your light will continue to burn brightly. We are honored to have the opportunity to speak with you today; go in peace.’
Meditating regularly and balancing our chakras are important actions that we can take with very little time and effort. For free handouts about how to meditate and how to balance your chakras, just send a request to me at SCortland@cfl.rr.com, and I’ll email them to you asap.
