7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."(1 John 4:7-10)

Believers in Jesus Christ must have the mark of love. Love expressed in God’s way. God made a decision and followed through with action. He was on purpose and timely. He did not make any excuses or neglect the recipients of His love. His mind was made up and the conclusion of the matter was settled. He would send His only Son.

He did it knowing that some would not receive His love. In fact, the world is an enemy to Him. The world sins and acts on selfish motives. Worldly people by their actions show that they despise God. Yet, He loves and loved by sending Jesus to die for sin. Many have accepted and received this awesome sacrificial love and now have everlasting life. They will live forever and ever.

Challenge: Believer, allow the Holy Spirit bring to your remembrance being separated from God’s love as a sinner. Now, you have accepted God’s love! Praise Jesus!
