Parmesan Crusted Pepperoni Pizza
1 can Pillsbury refrigerated classic pizza crust
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 cup pizza sauce
1 3/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 package sliced pepperoni, 25-30 slices
Heat oven to 400. Grease large dark or nonstick cookie sheet with shortening or cooking spray. Unroll dough on cookie sheet. Press out dough to 15x10 inch rectangle.
Spread butter over dough; sprinkle Parmesan cheese evenly over butter. Bake 7 minutes and remove from oven.
Spread pizza sauce evenly over partially baked crust and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Top evenly with pizza.
Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.
You can use any size pepperoni, but you may need to adjust the number of slices. Grated Parmesan cheese can be used instead of the mozzarella, but it will look different on the crust and won't be as visible.
If your family isn't fond of pepperoni, you can use sliced peppers, mushrooms or other toppings.
Pizza is a fun part of family night in many homes. With such an easy recipe, any night can be pizza night at your house.
Cooking with kids is a great way to make memories together. After dinner, pull out your favorite board game or snuggle together to watch a movie. Family time helps build bonds that will last a lifetime.
