Let The Dryout Commence !

Highs and lows for Saturday
Highs and lows for Saturday
Scott Derek

Saturday was filled with more clouds than sunshine as well as showers and thunderstorms popping up in the early afternoon thanks to that upper level low/short wave pivoting through the region. Despite that we reached a high of 75 this afternoon at Philly International Airport.

That short wave responsible for two afternoons on thunderstorms is finally pushing eastward.

Overnight the showers come to an end, but we'll still have a few clouds around with lows in the middle 50s. Come Sunday morning high pressure nestles in and we shall dry out; highs will be around 80 with a westerly wind around 10mph. Highs pressure sticks around on Memorial Day and we'll be in the lower 80s with that continued westerly flow.

Come Tuesday we'll start off sunny, but then have clouds roll in by the afternoon in advance of a cold front that will be dropping down from the north. Temperatures will be around 80 with showers and thunderstorms by the evening commute and lasting through the overnight hours. Once the front pushes southward on Wednesday morning it will be noticeably cooler with an easterly wind and highs just in the upper 60s.
