Real estate agents are sometimes forced into using euphemisms in order to play it safe. Of course we’d like to tell you how it really is, but we also have to be careful because California is a heck of a litigious state.
Keep this in mind: a real estate agent’s job is twofold. We want to get our clients the highest price if they’re selling, or the best deal if they’re buying. We also want to avoid lawsuits.
I’m a stickler. I’m fanatic about representing my client’s interests and details matter. It’s vital report things like existing tenants or loan contingencies. It’s also crucial to make sure everything’s signed on the dotted line where it needs to be signed.
I’m also honest when it comes to neighborhoods. I realize my clients have to live every day with their choices. I want to make sure they’re the right ones.
Due diligence is crucial. Better to do it now than to worry about it later.
