Starting the New Year with a few new shows, whether you like musicals or stage plays, Houston has much to offer. If you are ready to get your rock on, TUTS presents "We Will Rock You", a hard rocking, hit musical opening January 22, 2014 at the Hobby Center. In line with other musicals which took on hits from bands such as "Mama Mia" with ABBA and "Across the Universe" with the Beatles, hear Queen hits come alive on stage.

Originally created in 2002 and written by British comedian Ben Elton, audiences around the world have rushed to see this musical. Whether you are an avid fan of Queen or just a moderate listener, this musical will be sure to get your feet tapping. Smash Queen tunes fill up this musical score with such songs as “Another One Bites The Dust,” “We Are The Champions,” “Bohemian Rhapsody” and, of course, “We Will Rock You.”

The musical is set in a future which is corporate controlled. Everyone seems to be a drone of themselves and what you watch, listen to and do is created for you. Creativity is all but banned, which is a bleak future indeed. The hope for any musical breakthrough or creativity lies with unlikely rebels, who must bring rock back to the people.

Audiences get taken on the ride of their lives through the smash hits of Queen, while cheering on a "hero" who will bring rock music back to the masses. The musical has been around long enough to have created a following worldwide and winning over both audiences and critics. Running almost 3 hours with a 15 minute intermission, this show will be sure to give you your moneys worth.

The show runs from January 22 until February 2, 2014. Be sure to get your tickets while you can, they are sure to go quickly. For ticketing, showtime information, as well as other upcoming presentations, be sure to visit
