Let's Move website offers kids and families active and healthy options

First Lady Michelle Obama has made it her mission to raise a healthier generation of kids with her Let's Move Campaign! On Monday July 12, 2010, the First Lady introduced the new and improved Let's Move website. The relaunch of this website includes a Get Active page that talks about how to get active in the local communities, at school, and at home. Each link describes achievable ways to add more physical activity into kids and families daily lives. This website is a colorful and user friendly resource that every family should take time to look at and find fitness activities for the entire family!

Here is a brief description of each link. Please read each link for more information on how your children and your entire family can incorporate movement into your daily life!

Get Active ~ Children need at least 60 minutes per day of physical activity to maintain a heathy weight

Active Families ~ Great tips on how to stay active at home and as a family!

Active Schools ~ Influencing policies in schools to promote more physical activity and participate in the President's Challange

Active Communities ~ Promoting safe and walkable communities and playgrounds that are safe and in good repair
