When the weather starts to warm most get the desire to be outside enjoying the South Carolina sunshine and for those of us that like to fish, it’s time to be on the water.
Are you ready to go fishing? A little bait and some snacks; a cane pole or the best rod and reel ever made; a boat or a chair on the bank, it doesn’t matter how you fish just take the time to go. Fishing is a sport for some, a recreation for others, and a relaxing get away from it all for the rest of us.
In South Carolina fishing is great, from fresh to salt water; you will find a variety of locations to catch what ever you are looking for. When the stripper, crappie, perch, or bass are running you can see the lakes filled with freshwater fishermen trying their luck. Campgrounds and cabins are located around the lakes for overnight or longer trips. Saltwater fishing is great anytime of the year also, from shark to shrimp you can find an abundance of fun and fish.
Here are some great places to try: Lake Greenwood; Lake Russell; Lake Hartwell; Lake Murray; Lake Wateree; Lake Moultrie; and the South Carolina coast line from North Carolina to the Georgia borders.
Just to name a few.
