To be treated with tenderness is to have someone reach out to you with a word of praise or appreciation. Wouldn’t it be better if your kind gesture were to be noticed and you would appreciate giving, a note of thanks, a pat on the back, a compliment a smile? Sometimes the kindest gestures go unnoticed. Pure loving kindness of one gentle soul can nullify the hatred of hundreds of people.
Having value, meaning and purpose in life
Happiness can be learned, but it comes from being able to contribute to the life of others. It’s like giving a child a responsibility in the home, who may have been depressed, feeling unnoticed and lacking worth and acting out in some way. Once he or she feels like they can actively contribute and what they do matters in the household, others are depending on them and look to them now, the child’s life is changed. They now blossom and grow into happiness and appreciation; they no longer feel like all is for naught. They can make a difference in the world and can see that now.
A “sourpuss” or a “pissy ant” sees their life and actions as a nuisance
While there is a continuous stream of opportunities to celebrate, at any given moment we have the power to attack or to find holiness all around us. It’s a strong person who is gentle and it’s easy to feel at ease around such a being. It’s as if we can feel their strong arms around us expressing kindness and love.
To be gentle and kind to yourself
There is no need to be hard or beat up on yourself. You must learn to be gentle and kind with yourself, to be gentle and kind with others. You can live from your heart and let your tenderheartedness shine through everything you think, feel, say and do.
Choose to live peacefully and tenderheartedly
Do brave ad lovely things which are left undone by most people. Give gifts of love and peace to those whom others pass by.
