Howdy campers. The winter time in Utah gives us many options to get out and enjoy the back country. Skiing, snowboarding, cross country and snowshoeing can all be great ways to get out and enjoy Utah's beauty.

But, this doesn't come without it's cost. Sunburns and exposure abound in such conditions. You can easily stay warm by layering correctly. But unless you've spent much time in the snow laden sunshine you learn very quickly that this is also an ideal way to get yourself well and truly sunburned.

Always carry an SPF-30 or higher sunscreen to protect areas exposed to the sun. Make sure to re-apply every four hours or so, your skin will thank you for it.

Until next time, I'll see you on the trails.
