Let Coldplay Fix You

There are music superstars, celebrities that sell millions of magazines with a barely there smile. They can make a ten-year old tattered pair of jeans look like the hottest item in the Paris Fashion Week. They can influence, set and break fashion trends, political issues, and even mainstream culture.

Then there are musicians, people who write their own songs with nothing but a guitar, a paper and a pen. They are the ones who don’t need to wear make-up to be heard, they don’t need to pose provocatively just to be noticed, and they certainly don’t need to scream their lungs out in every song just to prove their talent. Their music is enough.

Coldplay is a living proof. They don’t do the traditional sex, drugs, and rock and roll stunt. They don’t destroy hotels and they don’t thrash other bands just to get on TMZ. In fact, they consciously shy away from publicity. They turned down multi-million deals from brands like Coke, Gatorade and Gap for the use of their songs Yellow, Trouble, and Don’t Panic. They want to keep their music pure.

Yet, they have managed to sell more than 50 million albums, countless shows and they have no plans of slowing down. They offer nothing else but their music but that is all they need to make you tremble to your bones and your heart miss a beat whenever they go on stage.
