Leonardo DiCaprio and some of his costars celebrated the New York City premiere of “The Wolf of Wall Street” at the Ziegfeld Theater on December 17, 2013.
Joined by his costars Margot Robbie, Matthew McConaughey and Jonah Hill, DiCaprio, who plays the leading role of real life Wall Street stockbroker Jordan Belfort, looked sharp in his dark suit and tie.
Costar Margot, who was cast as “Naomi Lapaglia,” looked lovely in her one-should black and white Armani Prive gown, teamed with Brian Atwood shoes and Jacob & Co jewelry.
Based on the autobiography by Jordan Belfort and directed by none other than Martin Scorsese, the “The Wolf of Wall Street” also stars Spike Jonze, Margot Robbie, and old-timers such as Rob Reiner (whose claim to fame began with TV series “All in the Family” and attending today) and Joanna Lumley (sadly not in attendance) who many of you may recognize from British TV series “Absolutely Fabulous.”
Chronicling the life of Jordan Belfort, the “crime comedy” is an autobiographical account of his rise to a wealthy stockbroker living the good life, to his downfall through crime, corruption and his involvement with the federal government.
Joining the 39-year-old actor at the New York premiere were other costars and celebs including actors Orlando Bloom, Kyle Chandler, Kenneth Choi, Christine Ebersole, Katarina Cas, Henry Zebrowski, Manu Bennett, Hannah Bronfman, James Lipton, Nicola Peltz, Cristin Milioti, MacKenzie Meehan (loved the burgundy lace!) and Sandy Powell.
By the way, handsome costar Matthew McConaughey, who plays a supporting role as Mark Hanna, also looked dapper in his pearl grey tux by Brunello Cucinelli and was joined by wife Camila Alves in her lovely red lace dress. Reportedly, Matthew was wearing a white shirt by Dolce & Gabbana and Salvatore Ferragamo shoes. And since the film was presented by Giorgio Armani, it wouldn’t be surprising if at least some of the suits were by the Italian fashion designer!
The film is due to hit theaters on Christmas day. Meanwhile, take a look at the slideshow and embedded video with DiCaprio, costars and Scorsese talking about “The Wolf of Wall Street.”
