On Feb. 21, 2014, "The X Factor" U.K. 2006 winner Leona Lewis was a guest star on a special "London Calling" episode of "Fashion Police," which features a panel talking about celebrity fashion. The show airs in the U.S. on E! Entertainment Television.
The panel is led by comedienne Joan Rivers and also features Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic and George Kotsiopoulos. A guest panelist is usually featured in every episode.
The "London Calling" episode put the spotlight on London Fashion Week and fashion worn at recent British events.
In the episode, Rivers asked Lewis if she has seen Simon Cowell's newborn son Eric yet. Lewis replied, "Not yet, I haven't. Just pictures."
Ricers joked, "I'm confused over who's got bigger boobs: mommy or daddy."
Then Rivers mentioned Lewis' biggest hit, "Bleeding Love," and asked her, "Did they ever approach you that maybe using that song for Tampax?"
Lewis answered with an embarrassed laugh, "Well, you know. There are a lot of songs for periods."
Rivers then asked if it was true that Lewis turned down a seven-figure salary from Harrods because Harrods sells furs.
Lewis replied, "Yeah, I'm very very passionate about it. It didn't align with me morally." Lewis then mentioned that she likes Stella McCartney clothes and accessories because "she does animal-friendly fashion."
The panel then commented on fashion that celebrities wore at the 2014 BAFTA Awards.
Lewis said about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie wearing tuxedos at the awards show: "I think maybe because he's in his tuxedo, maybe that's what throwing it, and she looks under-dressed, but I think she looks flawless always. She can do no wrong."
In fact, Lewis very diplomatic in all of her comments.
When talking about the purple Stella McCartney gown that Oprah Winfrey wore to the 2014 BAFTA Awards, Lews agreed with the panelists that the dress looked great but Winfrey's hairstyle looked a little untamed. Lewis said about Winfrey's look at the awards show: "She looks gorgeous. I love Stella. She's one of my favorite designers. The lace and color. It looks beautiful. I've got naturally thick curly hair like that, so I would have scooped it up, but she looks stunning."
The panel had mixed reactions to singer Lily Allen's hot pink and red outfit at the awards show. They all said the pink, spiky hairpiece that Allen wore didn't look right. Allen got positive comments for the colors she chose to wear, but the style of dress did not impress Rancic, Osbourne and Kotsiopoulos. Lewis said about Allen: "I think she looks hot. She looks amazing in this. I don't know what the hair piece is, but she's Lily. She's so quirky, so it works for her."
As for Lewis' own fashion styles, she's gotten mixed reviews in the past on "Fashion Police."
