Scripture reading: John 5:19-29
This passage shows just how closely knit God the Father and God the son are. There is resurrection life for those who have done good and resurrection of damnation for those who have done evil.
It is hard to understand that these two or three could be one, the Trinity. I think it is sort of like my mother is a mother, a sister, and an aunt at the same time. My father is a father, a brother, and an uncle. There are three different roles but all are the same person. I am a daughter, a sister, and a cousin. Three different roles, yet all the same person. It is just a mystery.
Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen.” We must simply have faith and believe. I think it is simply yet difficult. This passage shows that we follow examples. So, let us be good ones!
