Some additional information about the John Lennon remastered albums that we're hearing:
As we reported previously, there are two versions of the album "John Lennon: Power to the People" that will be released in October. One is a single disc. A deluxe version will be two discs and word is it will include a DVD of promo videos.
We're also hearing that the physical John Lennon Signature Box set that will combine all the remastered CDs in one set will also include bonus tracks of Lennon home demos and rarities.

The rarities disc included with the Signature Box was reported back in June on the official John Lennon site, but if you think this is still newsworthy then go right ahead.
Mike F: We mentioned the rarities disc in our initial report on the remasters (see the link above) the same day it was posted on the Lennon website. The mention of the home demos is a little more detail. Anyway, collectors appreciate the information even it's a repeat.
True, Mike, I saw that too, but there may be people out there who didn't know about. I'm sure this won't be the last repeated story about John coming out this year.
Ah I am afraid as to how much this will cost... but I must get it!!
Are the releases single disk? The remasters which came out ten years ago ere amazing so these will have to be something really special I think. I would love to see a bonus disk of alternative versions of the album tracks as well as b-sides etc as on the Fleetwood Mac reissues from a couple of years ago. I'm not too happy with there being a big expensive box set rather than providing really good value on the single CDs.
I understand that these are the original mixes, not the Yokoized versions from the last go around of remasters.
