Actor Lennie James only had a brief appearance in the first episode of The Walking Dead, taking on the role of Morgan Jones, a character that eventually wound up joining Rick’s group several months after being introduced in the very first issue. Despite his first (and only) appearance in the tv show, fans have always had hope that the character would eventually make a return to the series, adding a fairly strong character at a time when Rick and his crew desperately need the assistance.
The actor recently spoke with Access Hollywood at the 2013 Independent Spirit Awards where he dropped some cryptic hints about his character’s return, prompting many to circulate rumors that Morgan may return later this season.
Episode 12 of The Walking Dead premieres this Sunday at 9/8c.
