Flexibility is an important aspect of any fitness regime. Length training incorporates yoga and stretching exercises which transforms you into your leanest and sexiest self. I created the length training class six years ago when I noticed women were lacking flexibility. Although there is no jumping, running, or bouncing in the class, you’ll feel your heart pumping because of the large muscle work from the thighs and buttocks.
The class starts out with a three-dimensional warm up followed by standing vertical bar work. From front leg lifts to squats, plies, and integrated core, the class is graceful yet demanding. It’s a blend of Pilates, ballet, yoga, and the best butt and core work I’ve learned over the years.
The second part of the class alternates plank work, bridging, utilizing the Pilates bar and vertical bar as bases. One of the favorite moves is the hundreds, but in bridging. Ten sets of ten variations of a hamstring glute bridge. The backs of your legs will love you and the cellulite will run away.
The length training class is held on Sundays at 9:30am and Thursdays at 6:15pm only in the Lincoln Park Flirty Girl Fitness location.
