Actress and Director Lena Dunham won a directorial award at the 65th Annual Directors Guild of America Awards, held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland on February 2, 2013 in Los Angeles, California.
Dunham, who was there with her father Artist Carroll Dunham, picked up her award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Comedy Series for the “Girls” pilot episode, donning a pretty pink and red strapless cocktail dress and beige peeptoe pumps. Congrats to Lena – the dress wasn’t bad either!
Another Actor/Director, Helen Hunt, who was a presenter this evening, wore a lovely one-shoulder black gown, teamed with a jeweled oval shaped clutch bag, while her father Director Gordon Hunt looked dapper in his black tuxedo and bowtie.
Actress Laura Wright too wore a strapless cocktail dress – beaded black and brown – teamed with strappy sandals and clutch bag.
In the boys camp, Hugh Jackman, Ben Affleck and David Hasselhoff all looked dashing in their dark suits…
Also attending the awards in style were Jennifer Garner, Director Tom Hooper, Anne Hathaway, Martin Short, Kelsey Grammer, Kayte Walsh, Filmmaker Alison Klayman, Actor/filmmaker Dave Grohl and wife Jordyn Blum in her lovely teal and black lace dress, Director Kathryn Bigelow in her satin tuxedo jacket, Alixandra von Renner (loved the studded boots!), Peter Fonda and Parky DeVogelaere Fonda, Famke Janssen, Fox Films Entertainment Chairman & CEO Jim Gianopulos, Director Ang Lee and actor Suraj Sharma.
