Buffalo's own three-piece indie punk outfit Lemuria will support Anti-Flag at Mohawk Place on Thursday, May 19.
Since the summer of 2004, Lemuria has been one of the hardest working bands in Buffalo. The band released a handful of 7"s before the release of their debut full-length, Get Better, in 2008 on Asian Man Records. In April 2010, Lemuria announced that they had signed with Boston-based hardcore label Bridge 9 Records. In July the band headed to Baltimore, MD to record with producer J Robbins at Magpie Cage (Hey Mercedes, The Promise Ring, Jawbreaker). Lemuria's sophomore release and Bridge 9 debut, Pebbles, hit stores on January 11, 2011.
The Buffalo threesome will join Bouncing Souls, Hot Water Music, Strike Anywhere and more at Krazy Fest 2011 in Louisville, KY on May 21. Following Krazy Fest, they will hit the road with Against Me! and Screaming Females. The tour begins on May 31 in Millvale, PA and ends June 20 in North Dakota. Lemuria will tour the UK with Cheap Girls in August.
Lemuria will be joined by Anti-Flag, The Flatliners, and Hostage Calm on Thursday night. Tickets are available online at ticketmaster.com, Spiral Scratch Records (291 Bryant Street), and at the After Dark Office (630 Elmwood Avenue) for $15 in advance. Doors open at 6 p.m. 16+ admitted with valid I.D., under with an adult. Mohawk Place is located at 47. E. Mohawk St in downtown Buffalo.
