Lemon and garlic go so well together. The lemon gives this chicken a tangyness that is delicious. 

I used bourbon smoked paprika from Liquor Barn in Lexington for this recipe. It is very smoky and not very hot. It has a very unique flavor that gives this chicken an extra punch. If you don't have access to bourbon smoked paprika, any paprika will do. 

This recipe is great for grilled chicken, or chicken tacos. Just marinade the chicken is the lemon garlic sauce and grill. If you are making chicken tacos, chop up the cooked chicken and serve with guacamole, grilled onions and warm tortillas. 

You can also saute this chicken in olive oil and toss with pasta. It is a very versatile chicken recipe. Enjoy!

Lemon and garlic chicken 


3 cloves garlic, minced

the juice and zest of one lemon

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika, such as bourbon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

4 chicken pieces, whatever you desire- if making chicken tacos or grilled chicken use boneless skinless chicken breasts


In a large bowl combine all of the ingredients except for the chicken. Stir well and add chicken. Make sure chicken is fully immersed. Cover and let marinade 2 hours to overnight. Grill or saute until fully cooked. Enjoy!

    I've never heard of bourbon smoked paprika. It must be amazing! I'm going to look for it online.
