“Dog and Beth on the Hunt” is returning to CMT on August 24, 2013. They have 11 new episodes featuring Dog, Beth and Leland. This season, according to Zap 2 It, they are adding a new member to the team. Joining them is Leland’s 18-year-old son, Dakota, to help them on the hunt.
The premier episode will show Dakota graduating from high school with honors and he has his career chosen. He is determined to join the family’s bounty hunting business. However, before Dog allows young Dakota to participate, he has to show his family that he can handle the job and be safe. They put him through some tough tests before he can earn his badge. Some of the tests include the use of weapons and tactical skills. For his first case, Dakota will join the family on Hawaii’s Big Island as they hunt down a fugitive.
In this series, Dog and Beth travel from city to city as they help educate people in the bail bonds business to do their jobs better and more efficiently. Beth helps the office workers, showing them how to write better bonds and the questions they need to ask people applying for a bail bond. Dog and Leland works with the people who go out to capture the bail jumpers. They show how to track the fugitives down and they introduce them to some hi-tech devices. Safety is always an issue. Dog and his family do not carry guns, but they carry tasers, pepper spray and other non-lethal forms of defense.
