Your quest for something unique keeps you on the lookout for hidden treasures wherever you roam. You love to discover the unexpected and you know that beautiful items that are artful, classic, and flatter and fit a woman’s form are uncommon. It's rarer still to uncover such gems in your own back yard. So, it's hard to believe that a couturier capable of creating such a prize has opened up shop and serendipity has placed her skill and designs within reach of your own hot little hands.
LeJeune of LeJeune House of Fashion and Design is such a designer. Her lines are clean and classic, her eye for fabric impeccable, and she offers a hint of whimsy applied with excellent understanding for feminine adornment. LeJeune also happens to be available for showroom appointments, fittings, and a lovely visit right here in Huntsville. If you aren't in Huntsville, LeJeune's designs are available for purchase through her website.
LeJeune creates feminine, flattering clothing at her work space and studio on Slaughter Rd. She is inspired by fabrics, classic couture, international costume and what works for her own busy lifestyle. Her creations are are unique. She conceives of each piece and builds the pattern, and occasionally finds inspiration in vintage patterns which she modifies to design pieces that are all her own--and can be yours too.
According to LeJeune, "Style is how you live." She adds:
Classic designs/pieces never go out of style. The foundation for most of my designs and design concepts are based on classic designs from the past. I resolved early on, that there is nothing new under the sun. I found what worked best for me was "going back to the basics." What I wanted to do is create a classic and sophisticated way of dressing that the customer could rely on as a solid wardrobe choice, now and in the future. Longevity is the key, and healthy for the wallet!
You'll be smitten with simple details like contrasting buttons on a shirt-dress, unique pocket details on feminine jackets, flat pleat ruffles and exquisite, but demure lace overlay obi-style sashes. Each piece surprises, inspires and has potential in almost any wardrobe. LeJeune's designs are amazingly affordable and the spring 2010 collection is now availble.
LeJeune House of Fashion and Design seeks out and showcases local talent in clothing, accessory and jewelry design. Currently Jamie Graziano’s lovely, earthy line JZiano jewelry is showcased in the studio.
LeJeune is opening her studio for classes this month where she will teach her method of design and creation. A portable sewing machine is the requirement to participate. Contact her studio to find out more. She will also offer a summer class for students that will culminate in a fashion show featuring participant's creations.

The fortuitous find of LeJeune's designs comes just in time for spring, and now your quest for quality, timeless pieces that will add panache and sophistication to your wardrobe is accomplished.
