Leisa Simone to Michele Bachmann: You may be a breeder, but you're no feminist

My talented Facebook friend, Leisa Simone, wrote the following letter to Michele Bachmann, eloquently highlighting the reasons that no woman, conservative or progressive, should vote for this shyster; if the only qualification for president were breeding ability, she'd be a lock - but we fickle female Americans really kind of like intelligence, knowledge, and intellectual strength in our candidates, male or female.

I share Leisa's sentiments in their entirety - she stated very passionately what I, and many others, are thinking:

"Dear Michele Bachmann:

You've made many ignorant and idiotic statements, but there was one that angered me so much, I still want to scream when I even think of it.

You said the Democrats are worried because you may capture the female vote. Well, let me remind you of something that recently happened, since it's obvious you manage to forget almost everything including occasionally what state you're in.

Hillary Clinton ran against Barack Obama in 2008. She lost the primary to him. Remember that?

John McCain got the GOP nomination and chose your parasitic twin Sarah Palin as his running mate. Remember that?

It was speculated by many a moron that female Hillary supporters would turn around in a very brainless way and vote for McCain because Palin had boobs.

McCain lost, and he lost big, so we can assume that never happened.

And now here comes you with your hateful and stupid statements, one of the most insulting is how women vote with their vaginas and not their brains.

Yes, Bachmann, I wrote “vagina”, that thing between your legs that you believe should strictly be used for procreation. Your patriotic vagina that birthed five children, the same number as Palin's vagina. I love how you two go on and on about doing your little part to overpopulate the earth as if no one else has ever had children and it's part of some kind of beauty contest. Mrs Uterus USA.

And it apparently is because why else would you up the stakes by exploiting your miscarriage like Palin exploits her youngest child? She must be grinding her pearly whites at how you just surpassed her in number of babies by using what should be one of the most painful moments of your entire life and waving it around like a flag. Palin: 5 children, 1 disabled. Bachmann: 5 1/2 children. Mommy Wars.

But I know it was more than that. I know what you're trying to do. And it's unconscionable.

In February of this year, during talks about defunding Planned Parenthood, Congresswoman Jackie Speier stood up on the floor of the House and made an impassioned statement about reproductive rights that included the heartbreaking story of her own experience with terminating a pregnancy. I won't compare the emotions behind your story and what Representative Speier endured. But I will point out the differences to you.

Jackie Speier was trying to save women, children and even men by making sure they still had access to free and affordable healthcare. She was attempting to keep women's bodies from becoming a GOP bartering chip. She was trying to make sure that Roe v Wade stayed intact. And she was doing her best to keep “choice” as just that: CHOICE.

Your story was used for personal gain, to get more money from your mouth-breathing pigsty of donors, to pander to the most intellectually challenged people in the country who say they're going to vote for you because you're hot.

And how do you respond to this misogyny? By mentioning mud-wrestling that other freakazoid Palin. Yeah, Bachmann, the entire world wants to see two married grandmothers mud-wrestle. Thanks so much for that mental image.

Here's a new word for you: feminist. A feminist is someone who supports social, political and all other equal rights for women. It's someone who promotes equality between genders. A feminist can be male or female, rich, poor, or middle class, gay or straight, transgender, bi-sexual, etc.

You, Bachmann, are no feminist. You're anti-choice, anti-poor, anti-middle class, anti-gay, and anti-education. You're pro-corporation, meaning you put their interests over those of actual living and breathing human beings. And you believe the right to life begins at conception and ends at birth.

You've proposed cutting benefits to our wounded and disabled veterans while decreasing taxes on your rich friends and corporate sponsors. Explain to me how that makes you a Christian. Explain to me how any of your beliefs make you a Christian, especially your obsessive hate of homosexuals that's so vehement, you once hid in bushes to spy on a gay pride rally. And tell me how it makes your husband a Christian, the man who wants to discipline seething, sweaty hotbeds of barbarians.

Because you both claim to hear the audible voice of God?

I will give you this: you're a very lucky woman. It wasn't very long ago that people who claimed to hear the voice of God were given lobotomies and institutionalized for the rest of their lives.

And had you had that miscarriage in certain red states, you could have been arrested for murder, such as in Georgia, a state that attempted to pass a bill that would make having a miscarriage punishable by death. All those bills and laws? They were passed by Republicans, your party.

So don't you dare ever say Democratic women will vote for you. Why ANY woman would vote for you is a mystery to me, but I don't understand why black or gay (or supposed sane) Americans belong to the Tea Party, either.

You epitomize everything that's wrong with the right, and there's a reason why so many call you “Bat-Shit Crazy Bachmann”. But I'll go one step further: you're a disgrace to the female gender, to this country, and to life in general. You're a liar, a fraud, a deceiver.

And you, Bachmann, are no Jackie Speier.
