Legos rule!

Legos have come a long way since I was a kid. I never had any and yes, I am still holding a grudge. My cousin, who was not a girl, got all the cool toys. The closest to cool toys I ever got was receiving his used Lincoln Logs. Lincoln Logs are basically sticks that you could stack together to make interesting things like…squares or rectangles. I am convinced to this day that Lincoln Logs were invented by the Amish to drive city kids insane. I couldn’t wait to visit my cousin and stack Lego blocks into skyscrapers and bridges. Relive your childhood this weekend at the Denver Pavillions. The Lego Games 2010 Tour makes its only stop in Colorado in downtown Denver.

Families can participate in life-sized versions of Lego board games for free or challenge other Lego loving folks for prizes in a stage competition. The Lego tour features a special gameplay created just for the Denver area.

Guess the number of bricks in a towering Lego Minotaur Model for a chance to win a trip to the Mecca of all things Lego, Legoland California. Families will also be taught how to use the world’s first constructible board games, which allows you to literally create a unique gaming experience. Build the game, change the rules, switch the dice and take your family game night to new places.

This event is free and located at the Denver Pavillions, 500 16th Street in downtown Denver. It begins Friday, August 20th at 10am and ends on Sunday, August 22nd at 6pm. The event is open daily fro 10am to 6pm, with the exception of Sunday when the hours will be noon to 6pm.
