Legoland Florida held the grand opening ceremony for its new Duplo Valley play area for toddlers on May 22. The park, which is aimed at kids between the ages of two and 12, now features a special spot for those up to five years old to play in air conditioned comfort and romp around in the water on hot Florida days.

Although the Duplo Barn was part of the area previously, it used to be open to the outside. Now that it's fully enclosed, it's climate controlled to ensure families' comfort, no matter how hot it gets outside. There are also cute train and tractor rides as part of the farm-themed activities.

"We couldn’t be more excited to officially open Duplo Valley," Legoland Florida General Manager Adrian Jones said. "Our newest expansion gives toddlers and parents a completely new way to play, adding to our already fantastic lineup of more than 50 rides, shows and attractions here at Legoland Florida."

Meanwhile, the Legoland hotel construction project continues its rapid progress. It's slated to open next year, and you can see what it looks like now by jumping to this article.
