LEGO® Universe, the first MMOG (massively multiplayer online game) based on LEGOs, has officially gone gold. It will also be on display at PAX Prime 2010 this weekend.

In LEGO® Universe, the chaotic Maelstrom threatens to destroy all imagination. As a member of the Nexus Force, it's your (and your Minifig Avatar's) job to defeat this creativity-eating abomination.

New screenshots have been released this week showing some of the enemy 'Stromlings' (agents oF THE Maelstrom) battling the Nexus Force in the Forbidden Valley.

LEGO Universe will ship to North American retail stores on October 26, 2010 with an ESRB rating of “E10+”. If you're attending PAX Prime 2010 in Seattle, WA this weekend (Sept. 3rd-5th), you can stop by the Gazillion booth (hall 4B, booth 3433) and play live LEGO Universe demos, snag special-edition giveaways, and chat with members of the LEGO Universe development team on the show floor.
