Lego UK employees raise money for autism

Finally, an icon has stepped up to make a difference.  Employees of Lego in the United Kingdom  have assembled over 35,000 lego Star Wars storm troopers to raise money for autism.  In just under six hours, employees built the massive army as a fundraiser for the National Autism Society.

Certainly a creative way to raise money, to be sure!  Gizmodo has some wonderful high resolution shots of the project that you might want to check out.

So nice to see a mainstream company doing something for autism awareness.

Thanks for this uplifting report! As a mom to a young man with Asperger's syndrome, I'm pleased to see a "big name" company having a campaign like this:-)
