Yesterday geek website ComicBookMovie managed to find a video posted by a German blogger revealing some major spoilers for the Christopher Nolan produced “Man of Steel”. At last weekend’s New York American International Toy Fair 2013 Lego had shown these products to attendees. Photos though had been prohibited.
One scene revealing set is titled “Superman: Battle for Smallville”. Included within fans will find Zod’s ship Black Zero and an Army Jeep. Minifigures based on Superman, Tor-An, Faora, Colonel Hardy and General Zod are also part of the package.
In the “Man of Steel” General Zod will be portrayed by Michael Shannon. This minifigure reveals for the first time his very Darth Vader looking combat armor. His new armored look is a far cry from his appearance in the original Superman films where Zod was played by veteran actor Terrance Stamp.
Another scene from the movie forms the inspiration for Lego’s “Superman: Black Zero Escape” set. It will comprised of a docking platform and large black pod. General Zod, Superman and Lois Lane figures are also included.
While their placement in the film is unknown it will be interesting to see how these now revealed scenes fit into Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” when it flies into theaters on June 14th, 2013.
