Legislative Day 2012: an opportunity for gifted youth

The Colorado Association for Gifted and Talented (CAGT) is sponsoring the annual Legislative Day at the state capitol for gifted youth in 2012.  Students in grades 8 through 12 are invited to apply to shadow a Colorado state legislator for a day to learn about the legislative process, effective advocacy, and critical issues affecting education. 

Legislative Day will take place on Thursday, February 12, 2012 from 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  The deadline for youth registration is January 31, 2012.  Parents and educators can also apply to accompany the middle and high school students; the application deadline for adults who wish to accompany students is February 10th. 

Registration can either be completed online at CAGT's website by selecting from the dropdown registration menu at the top of the page or by printing and filling out the forms available on their website, scanning the completed forms, and e-mailing them back to CAGT.
