'Legends': Tina Majorino compares Maggie to her 'Veronica Mars' character

TNT's newest series, "Legends," premieres next week, and we had the chance to get a preview of what's coming up when the cast made the trip to San Diego Comic-Con. On Wednesday, Aug. 6, we uploaded our video interview from the press room roundtable with Tina Majorino, who plays Maggie Harris.

"There are really obvious comparisons" to her "Veronica Mars" character, Mac, she admitted. "But the differences for me, Mac is, I love Mac the character so much because she's very rebellious but fully herself and her true nature is just to go against the grain and do what she has to do and stand up for her friends and cause trouble sometimes. With Maggie, Maggie is highly-trained. …She's part of the support staff, so she's helping set up these deep cover operations and trying to keep agents safe, so there's not really room for that rebellious nature. There are people's lives on the line here and she's obviously had to work really hard to get where she is and be taken seriously."

"Absolutely," she wants to have Maggie go in the field. "The plot line of this entire series was very much under wraps, so when I knew that we were going to start shooting, six months before I started training and I actually took the FBI PT test, which was insane." She passed. "It's awesome when you get to do the physical transformation, not that that's where the character went, but I wanted to be prepared. There's something about even sitting in that situation room as Maggie, knowing if something went down, I would know what a real FBI agent would do."
