LEGOLAND California, already home to the first LEGOLAND Water Park, has announced that the opening of the brand new LEGO Legends of Chima Water Park is slated for Memorial Day, May 26. Based on the animal tribes of LEGO Group’s Chima product line and the mystical land where they live and covet the “chi” energy source, the three-acre park will include eight main areas (representing the eight animal tribes) including the Lion Temple Wave Pool, Eglor’s Build-a-Boat, Wolves’ Cantina and Cragger’s Swamp.

Everything in the LEGO Legends of Chima Water Park is made with actual LEGO pieces meaning that when you walk through the giant lion archway at the Lion Temple Wave Pool, you could actually build a replica of the arch at home if you had enough LEGO blocks. Same goes for the park’s centerpiece, the 30-foot tall “floating” Mount Cavora. Guests will definitely get soaked in Cragger’s Swamp as the area is filled with water slides including one that will have sliders zipping through a giant crocodile head; blast water cannons and jets also abound. At Eglor’s Build-a-Boat kids can build their own boats and race them against their friends while also learning how to build (and dodge) obstacles and change currents. Wolve’s Cantina is an eatery decorated with lots of collectibles amassed by the wolf tribe.

More details about the other areas of LEGO Legends of Chima Water Park will be announced closer to opening date.

LEGOLAND California and the LEGO Legends of Chima Water Park are located in Carlsbad about half an hour’s drive from San Diego and about an hour from Anaheim.

Admission to LEGO Legends of Chima Water Park is included in the cost of admission to the LEGOLAND Water Park. For ticket prices, hours of operation and more information visit the LEGOLAND website or call 760-918-LEGO (5346).
