In a tragic twist to the long-awaited, feel good reunion between the WWE and The Ultimate Warrior, the legendary superstar died on Tuesday April 8 according to a report by WWE.com. The Warrior's death has come as a huge shock to the wrestling industry. The Warrior, formerly known as Jim Helwig, appeared on the April 7 episode of WWE RAW and addressed the live crowd with an in-ring promo. He thanked the fans for their support and talked about how his legendary character will live on forever.
Prior to his RAW appearance, Warrior was also at WrestleMania 30 on Sunday April 6 as a member of the WWE HOF class of 2014. Warrior headlined this year's inductions after being gone from the WWE for 18 years.
At the HOF ceremonies on Saturday April 5, The Warrior addressed some of the issues he had with the WWE including the DVD that the company released in 2005 which bashed the Warrior. He stated in his HOF induction, that The Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior DVD not only angered him but also deeply hurt him.
It's unclear as to the cause of The Warrior's death. However, the wrestling world has already taken to social media to pour out their sadness over the passing of The Warrior. The one wrestler who had the biggest connection to The Warrior, Hulk Hogan, tweeted the following about his passing:

The Warrior is survived by his wife Dana and his two daughters.
