A special Monopoly set based on Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda franchise is coming to GameStop next month. This themed set, which is being released by USAopoly, will feature a redesign based on various entries in the iconic series, and will, like most of the game's re-releases, retail for the price of $39.99.

Some of the properties featured in this Monopoly release include the Ocarina of Time versions of Hyrule Castle and the Temple of Time (which replace Park Place and Boardwalk, respectively). Other games like Majora's Mask, Wind Waker and Skyward Sword also receive properties based on them. The four railroads are replaced by the Spirit Train, Loftwing, King of Red Lions and Epona.

Further changes include the houses and hotels, which are now Deku Sprouts and Deku Trees. Also, the chance cards and community chest have become “empty bottle” and treasure chest. The money has been redesigned as well, so we can probably expect to see differently colored rupees on the bills.

Game pieces include the bow, boomerang, hookshot, Hylian shield, slingshot and Triforce, though those who pre-order the game from GameStop will also have a chance to use the Ocarina of Time. You read that correctly, GameStop is even giving out pre-order bonuses for board games now. These bonuses also include six “power cards for added gameplay,” though we currently don't know what these additions might do, though we do know what they'll be called. The six cards include The Goddess, Wind Waker, Minish Cap, Spirit Flute, Phantom Hourglass and Ocarina of Time. We'll have more information on them once we can figure out what role they will play in the game. Fans who pre-order will be treated to further bonuses, such as a lithograph map of Hyrule in a treasure chest holder.

Pre-orders are now officially open at GameStop, so those interested in this set should reserve theirs for these added bonuses. The Legend of Zelda Monopoly set will release on September 15th.
