Antidisestablishmentarianism. There's a 50-cent word, huh? (No, it's not from a rap song by 50 Cent.) Anyone know what it means? (I had to look it up!) Basically, it is the act or state of being against the separation of church and state. Notice I said separation of CHURCH and state?
When the first settlers arrived in America, they came seeking relief from religious tyranny. I repeat, tyranny. They did not come seeking relief from religion. They wanted freedom to practice religion. The Constitution was not about the separation of religion and state, but rather church and state. See, in England, the "church" was in power over the country. The king was to be worshipped. These individuals wanted to worship God! However, in recent years, God has been taken out of nearly every aspect of public and civic life by those who want freedom FROM religion. They already had that freedom. None are forced into church as they were in England. These individuals shouted about fairness and rights, but they only meant for themselves. They had no intention of allowing rights to "religious" people. Welcome to the fall out. Essentially, the right to one's religious freedom is now gone. Along with religious freedom, our right to free speech also has been usurped, as well as those of freedom to assemble, petition, and voice our grievances.
The First Amendment states: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Here's how the murder of Amendment One occurred:
Victim - The First Amendment: Freedom of religion, speech, the press, assembly, and petitioning the government.
Assassin: US Gov't
Weapons: HR 347, PPACA
M.O. (modus operandi): The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) - commonly called Obamacare - puts forth the decision that an individual cannot exercise their right to freedom of religion in the operation of their own business, unless that business is actually a religious business. Thus, business owners are forced to violate their own beliefs or pay astronomical fines.
Through the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act (HR 347), the remainder of our First Amendment rights essentially are gone. Sounds like some new bill allowing the government to provide funding for upkeep and improvement of government buildings and lands. Nope. Not even close. Now, one can be arrested for assembling to freely speak in regards to their grievances with the government. Peacefully demonstrating in the vicinity of someone "under the protection of the secret service" (even when one does not know they are in a "protected area") is a crime, thus violating both the right to assemble and the right to free speech. Under HR 347, such activities are felonies.
Only the press has retained its freedom, so I thought I should inform you - while I still can!
The deconstruction of the religious foundation of the United States did not bring improvement. The nation was "indivisible with liberty and justice for all" when it was "under God". We divided ourselves. Since that right was negated, the rest of our liberties have easily fallen. That's right, all the rest are gone as well. In the coming weeks, we will be taking a look at specific legislative actions that systematically have negated each of the amendments.
