This is an oyster lover’s dream! A month’s worth of oyster specials and featured menu items at Legal Sea Foods!

WHAT: Back by popular demand, Legal Sea Foods, is pleased to announce its sixth-annual Oyster Festival. Beginning September 17th through October 14th, three of Legal Sea Foods Washington area restaurants will celebrate all things oysters through featured menu items and happy hour specials showcasing the delicious mollusks.

Oyster fans will want to begin their meal with starters such as Oyster Stew simmered with cream, butter and herbs; Fried Oysters with pickle relish, BBQ mayo and cole slaw, or the signature Oysters Legal baked with spinach, cheese and crumbs. The menu will also feature a variety of classic favorites such as Bacon Wrapped Oysters with spinach salad, black quinoa, pickled red onion and creole mustard vinaigrette, Oysters Jambalaya with crispy fried oysters and jambalaya rice; Bacon Crusted Oyster Lettuce Cups with Bibb lettuce, goat cheese, pickled radish and green goddess dressing, as well as the popular Oyster Po-Boy Sandwich with chipotle mayo, lettuce and tomato. These dishes will rotate on the menu throughout the month-long promotion.

A variety of oyster small plates will also be available exclusively at the bar during happy hour, Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM. Standouts include Mini Piggy Back Tacos with pulled pork, charred savoy chow chow and crispy oysters; Mini Oyster Stew with celery, leeks and seasoned cream; Mini Oyster Po’Boy with iceberg lettuce, tomato and Old Bay mayo; Oyster Legal, baked oysters with spinach, cheese and seasoned crumbs, as well as Bacon-Crusted Oyster Cups with pickled radish, goat cheese, and green goddess dressing. Happy hour items will be priced from $4 to $5 each.

Additionally, specially priced Stingray Oysters can be enjoyed during happy hour. Priced at $1.25 each, the Stingray is a quintessential Chesapeake oyster, plump, sweet and lightly salty. Guests can also opt to go Au Natural on the Half Shell, as Legal will be shucking seasonal oysters at the raw bar, priced at $2.75 each, $11.95 for a half dozen and $28.95 for a dozen.
