There is a reason that the hysterical, outraged shrieking of Rep. Peter King (R-NY) toward Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for fighting back against liberalism so oddly resembles the kind of unhinged, vicious temper tantrum one would expect from a card-carrying Democrat: King has joined the chorus of "moderate" Republicans (elitist liberal snobs) begging for scraps from the left's table and apologizing for their embarrassing conservative base (the American people).
King, who recoils in horror at the first hint of anyone bringing up ideas like checks and balances, limited government, or actually following the Constitution, has now relentlessly trashed, marginalized and vilified Ted Cruz as everything from a lunatic, to a fraud, to a terrorist...all for forcing a long-overdue and urgently necessary confrontation with the Washington establishment over endless fiscal insanity and an illegal, economy-killing health care takeover despised and rejected by the American people.
Liberty (what Ted Cruz is doing) only seems like madness, anarchy and extremism to dictators, tyrant-worshipers and their "moderate" Republican lapdogs. For the travesty of temporarily slimming down one narrow sliver of the Federal Government, Ted Cruz is now being absolutely crucified and burned at the stake by King and other notorious left-wing RINOs such as John McCain...who is now even on the record saying he "f--king hates" Cruz.
Let's review who exactly these "Republicans" are (see Peter King's voting record here):
-Peter King voted repeatedly for pork-filled "stimulus" scams (Oct 2001, Sept 2008 and Jul 2009), for the bailouts, and for "Cash for Clunkers."
-Peter King was given a "D" by the NRA (Dec 2003), voted to close the gun show "loophole," and to restrict gun show sales (May 2009).
-Peter King voted to increase the Minimum Wage (Jan 2007), extend government-funded joblessness (unemployment checks--Oct 2008), and to stop employers from fighting back against union takeovers (Mar 2007).
-Peter King voted for the left's Kyoto economic suicide pact (Jun 2000), to force taxpayers to pay $40B for "green" public schools (May 2009), and to impose arbitrary CAFE standard increases, compromising public safety and dramatically increasing car prices for no good reason (Aug 2001).
-Peter King voted repeatedly to protect frivolous lawsuits (Mar 2003, May 2004 and Sep 2004), voted to keep the left's racist preferential college admissions policies in place (May 1998), and to allow Air Traffic Controllers to form a government union (Jan 2006)...which shouldn't even be legal.
-Peter King voted repeatedly to extend, expand and fund SCHIP (Oct 2007, Jan 2008, Jan 2009)--the left's precursor to Obamacare.
-Peter King voted against subjecting federal employees to random drug tests (Sep 1998), to give more taxpayer dollars to Mexico for its drug war (Jun 2008), and multiple times to throw more taxpayer money away on Amtrak (Jun 2006 and Jun 2008).
And then there's McCain (see his voting record here):
-John McCain relentlessly pursued amnesty for illegal immigrants (May, Jul 1998, Mar 1999, May 2006, Jun 2007), opposed the Bush tax cuts (May 2003), and demanded civilian criminal trials for foreign terrorists at war with this country.
-John McCain supported stem-cell research on aborted fetuses, endorsed crackpot global warming legislation (Jan 2004, Feb 2005, Jan 2008), and co-sponsored a disastrous speech-trampling campaign finance law.
-John McCain opposed American energy exploration in Alaska (Mar 2005), sided with liberals on gay marriage, and attempted to sign on as John Kerry's running mate during Election 2004.
-John McCain repeatedly defended abortion (Aug 1999, May 2007, Oct 2007 and Feb 2008), supported racist and sexist preferential treatment for women and minorities (Oct 1997, Mar 1998), and has a history of attacking gun rights (May 1994, May 1999, Dec 1995, Aug 1999, Aug 1999).
-John McCain voted to increase the Minimum Wage (Feb 2007), to extend government-funded joblessness (unemployment checks--Nov 2008), and to protect welfare checks and Food Stamps from reforms (Jul, Aug 1996).
-John McCain also advocates for replacing, rather than repealing, Obamacare, thus leaving the Federal Government entrenched in an issue that it has no authority to even be involved in under the Constitution.
These are the "Republican" leaders whose opinions and actions are supposed to guide and inform the conservative movement. But the time-disproven Ford-Dole-McCain approach of "reaching across the aisle" and pretending to be Democrats on every major issue has consistently produced nothing but defeat and humiliation for conservatives, and it is absolute insanity for them to waste even one more second of their time considering anything these visionless, unprincipled cowards have to say.
