In case you haven’t been paying attention, Hobby Lobby (a craft store with over 13,000 employees and over 500 locations throughout the country) has been fighting a mandate in Obamacare that forces employers to pay for a pill known as Plan B or ‘The Morning After’ pill. Hobby Lobby is a Christian based organization whose owners have incorporated their Christian beliefs into their company as stated in their mission statement.
Hobby Lobby has been voluntarily providing health insurance coverage to their employees for years but they take issue with the Plan B mandate because it can end life. Uninformed and intolerant leftist loons across the country have been flipping out that Hobby Lobby is trying to force their beliefs onto their employees and are against women’s ‘right’ to basic health care. Leftists have taken to social media over the past couple of days to further prove their ignorance. As usual they are incorrect but that doesn’t stop these uninformed shills from trying to boycott the company based on false premises all the while spreading their lies and showing their intolerance.
Let’s explain what Plan B does from the manufacturer:

12.1 Mechanism of Action
Emergency contraceptive pills are not effective if a woman is already pregnant. Plan B One-Step is believed to act as an emergency contraceptive principally by preventing ovulation or fertilization (by altering tubal transport of sperm and/or ova). In addition, it may inhibit implantation (by altering the endometrium). It is not effective once the process of implantation has begun.
The highlighted sentence is what many Christians and pro-life people take issue with because preventing implantation means a fertilized egg is prevented from attaching to the uterus. To many Christians and others, life begins at conception. Conception occurs when a sperm fertilizes an egg. The Plan B pill can prevent life from continuing on by not allowing it to implant. Leftists seem to have a hard time grasping this concept.
Now onto the leftist lies and misinformation being spread (as is their usual modus operandi):
LIE: Hobby Lobby is forcing their religious beliefs onto their employees.
FACT: Hobby Lobby is not forcing their beliefs onto anyone. They are simply against Obama forcing them to go against their own beliefs and the beliefs their corporation is run on.
LIE: Hobby Lobby is denying women basic access to health care.
FACT: The “Plan B” pill is not basic health care. It is a pill that some women choose to use after having unprotected sex or if they believe they may have gotten pregnant (after choosing to have sex) and do not want to have a baby. Leftists believe that women are too weak minded, ignorant and dependent on men that they are incapable of going to the pharmacy to purchase the Plan B pill for their own selves all on their own (they can even buy it online).
LIE: Hobby Lobby refuses to provide birth control to women.
FACT: They have no problem providing regular birth control. Plan B is an ‘oops’ form of birth control that can, in fact, end the life of a fertilized egg.
LIE: Hobby Lobby is denying prescription medicine to women.
FACT: Plan B is an over-the-counter pill that can be purchased at most pharmacies and even over the internet.
LIE: Hobby Lobby is a corporation and corporations are not people.
FACT: The Supreme Court of the United States did, in fact, declare last year that corporations are people (Note: robots do not run corporations, people do).
Now onto the leftists’ lunacy and hysteria arguments which usually occur when they know they are failing miserably and are desperate to make any point at all:
HYSTERIA: Hobby Lobby is hypocritical because it purchases goods made in China and China is the abortion capital of the world.
LOGIC: Hobby Lobby isn’t trying to control what anyone else does. They are simply trying to control themselves from being forced to paying for ending a life.
HYSTERIA: What if the Greens were Jehovah’s Witnesses and didn’t want to provide blood transfusion. It’s the same thing as what they are doing with Plan B.
LOGIC: A blood transfusion is a life-saving medical procedure that occurs due to unforeseen circumstances in a patient’s life. It is carried out by medical personnel only. Plan B is a choice that a woman makes after she chose to have sex but doesn’t want the responsibility of a baby. Again, Plan B pills can be purchased at a pharmacy or over the internet.
HYSTERIA: Hobby Lobby is violating women’s rights.
LOGIC: They are doing no such thing. Women don’t have a ‘right’ to the Plan B pill.
There will be probably be more lies, misinformation and crazy analogies but that is par for the course with leftists. What they cannot grasp is that the Greens are fighting for the very same thing that Americans fought for so many years ago – Freedom of Religion. The Greens have run Hobby Lobby based on their Christian principles since its inception. Their belief is that life begins at conception. Plan B can end that life if used and therefore they would feel responsible if they were to provide insurance that pays for it. The Obama administration has completely overstepped its boundaries with this one and as usual leftists lie and create false hysteria because they despise facts and logic.
