‘Left 4 Dead 2’ developer explains collaboration with ‘Resident Evil 6’ (Photos)

Chet Faliszek has provided an explanation as to why Valve decided to collaborate with Capcom in regards to bringing characters and enemies from “Left 4 Dead 2” to “Resident Evil 6.” According to a report by All Games Beta on March 15, the writer at the company disclosed that they were big fans of the “Resident Evil” series. As a result, Valve jumped on the opportunity to work directly with Capcom on the crossover. You can check out some screens from the collaboration in the slideshow at the top of this article.

In the PC version of “Resident Evil 6,” players will be able to select between the main characters of “Left 4 Dead 2” (Coach, Ellis, Nick and Rochelle) with special load outs in The Mercenaries No Mercy mode. Furthermore, the Witch and Mini Tank zombies would also appear as enemies.

“Left 4 Dead 2,” was developed by Valve and Turtle Rock Studio, came out on Nov. 17, 2009. The PC version of “Resident Evil 6” is slated to come out on March 22, 2013. You can order both games in the following link: “Left 4 Dead 2” and “Resident Evil 6”
