It is almost a secret; the Lee Arts Center is the home to potters and printmakers where they share communal studios that are equipped with the special equipment and technology resources they need to produce high quality professional work. Many, if not most, of the artists working at “Lee” exhibit their work throughout the region.
They have a “Mini-gallery” in the building, but the big display and sales event happens a couple of times a year. Coming up November 16 and 17, the artists will fill what once was the cafeteria of the school with tables of artwork. The display is truly amazing.
It provides Arlingtonians a wonderful opportunity to buy unique gifts for the holiday season.
See the slideshow featuring previous events to get the idea. For the same or less money spent at chain stores, patrons can purchase fine art for their friends and relatives. Most of the pottery items have functional uses, and some are decorative works.
Printmakers are some of the best in Virginia too.
