Lee Ann Rimes sues dentist for shoddy work and damage to career

One thing a girl can count on is her dentist. A dentist keeps the smile bright, white and straight, breath fresh and sweet smelling for those close ups on romantic nights. LeAnn Rimes would disagree.

The 30-year-old country singer has filed a lawsuit against her dentist, Dr. Duane C. McKay, who has gone down the spit sink.

Rimes claims that McKay misdiagnosed her dental problems. Once he began to “fix” her teeth, he put in substandard veneers and crowns. This led to more tooth pain, gum inflammation and chronic gum bleeding.

Due to the messed up dentistry, Rimes has had to have nine root canals, bone grafting, a temporary bridge, physical therapy and she has suffered a “permanent cosmetic deficiency.”

What does all of this mean besides pain? Good dentistry procedures is crucial to that of a singer. Her ability to perform as an artist has been compromised until the whole mess is fixed. Rimes is seeking money for general damages and medical expenses plus some for emotional and psychiatric injuries. She also asked for money to cover lost wages.
