Lebron James to meet with Pat Riley, while Cavaliers trade Jarrett Jack

Now that we are a day away from the actual free agent signing period, Pat Riley and Lebron James are scheduled to meet on Wednesday. Earlier in the week, Lebron met with Dwayne Wade in Las Vegas, but i’s not likely, he’s made a decision on his NBA playing future.

This meeting could the make or break the current Miami Heat stature. There’s a chance that James may already know where he wants to go, yet it doesn’t mean he’s willing to make an uninformed decision.

Gordon Hayward agrees to $63 million deal with Charlotte Hornets.

With Chris Bosh mulling the Houston Rockets offer, the Heat could look extremely different at the start of 2014. However, Bosh is also not in a hurry to make his decision. That’s where Lebron James comes in. If he decides that Cleveland is the best fit, Bosh may say hello Houston in a split second.

If those moves ever happened, is it conceivable that Dwayne Wade winds up in his hometown of Chicago? We understand that Wade is supposed to be a Miami Heat lifer, but in a few days, Miami could be in complete overhaul mode.

Meanwhile, the Heat have agreed to terms with Josh McRoberts and Danny Granger. The moves provide Miami with two veteran players at the forward spot. Granger may be on his last legs in the NBA, but he survived 2014 without an injury setback, so they hope he can get back to form. Josh McRoberts has the ability to do multiple things on the court. That’s something the Heat sorely missed during the NBA Finals.

Clearly, Cleveland is making a push for Lebron James as we speak. The Cavaliers just cleared more cap space by trading Jarrett Jack and Tyler Zeller in a three team trade. Jack is on his way to the Brooklyn Nets, while Zeller heads to Boston. The Celtics also received Marcus Thornton and a first round draft pick.

The move creates enough space for Lebron James to get a max deal in Cleveland. It makes the upcoming meeting with Pat Riley even more intriguing right now. Does Riley have what it takes to keep the "Big Three" together?
