Lebron James missed the Wednesday morning Miami Heat shoot around in preparation for their second showdown with the Indiana Pacers. According to CBSsportsline.com, James will be a game time decision on Wednesday night.
Lebron originally hurt the ankle during a blowout win over the Utah Jazz. That game took place Monday night. Since then, he’s received a lot of rest and relaxation. The Heat have provided round the clock treatment for their superstar.
It doesn’t look like the ankle should keep him out for any length of time, but James did admit that the ankle was sore. The Heat have already been looking long term, and there could be more gamesmanship going on than what’s being reported.
According to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, Lebron James is definitely going to play. This game is too big for him to miss.
However, if Lebron James is really hampered by the injury, should he actually play a December game against the Indiana Pacers? Although it’s only a regular season game, another setback to the Pacers could be a telling sign.
Dwayne Wade says that they have a healthy respect for the Pacers, so the team knows it needs their full complement of players.
