LeBron James may be king of the court, but in a new Samsung commercial that debuted on Wednesday, the Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year looks like the next contestant on Golf Channel’s The (Hank) Haney Project.
With comedian Kevin Hart trash-talking and reviewing the big man’s "technically ... really bad" form on a Galaxy Note 3, James proves that as a golfer with a swing like a "2x4," he’s a really good hoopster.
Not sure, but it looks as if James shows off his stiff-legged, not-exactly Tiger Woods-like form with a red-headed Nike Covert driver. Sure would like to know who’s on the other end of LeBron’s Galaxy Gear smart watch, telling him to relax.
Hey, if that whole comedy thing doesn’t work out for Hart, he might have a future as a swing guru.
"Don’t bend your knees, but let ‘em loose a little bit," he advises James. "Wiggle, but not really too much. Back straight, but not really."
James, by the way, beat out Peyton Manning (second, 20 votes) and Jimmie Johnson (seven) for the AP award, earning 31 of the 96 votes cast. Tiger is a past winner of the award.
