The LeBron James Cleveland rumors aren't going away any time soon, and the LBJ sweepstakes is getting more interesting by the day! When LeBron first chose to opt out of his Miami Heat contract, many fans and experts figured James just did so to gain a bit of leverage with hopes that Miami would bolster their roster this off-season. Well if that is the only reason James did so, then he sure has the sports world second guessing as many experts now think the impossible could happen - LBJ returning to his home town team of Cleveland.

According to a Yahoo report on July 10, sources close to James and the NBA are saying that LeBron will soon shock the NBA world by heading back to Cleveland. Chris Sheridan is reporting that he has a league source that claims James will sign with the Cavs and that the announcement will be made on James' website,

Odds makers are thinking the same. While casinos take prop bets on almost anything and everything they can, they are also banking that James will return to Cleveland and leave South Beach. Odds James will return to Miami are much larger now than they were even 10 days ago. Once a pretty much even money or 2/1 prop bet that James would stay with the Heat, now that has climbed to 5/1, while James returning home to Cleveland is listed at even money.

Vegas sports books are already planning on seeing the odds for the Cavs to win the Eastern Conference title and NBA Championship next season to drop quickly. Just 30 days ago you could get anywhere between 30 to 40-1 odds on Cleveland to win the 2014-15 NBA Championship.

That has already dropped to 15-1 in anticipation of James to head back to his home town city and may fall to as low as 5 or 6-1 if James does return to the Cavs.

According to the oddsmakers at, Cleveland becomes a 6-to-1 shot at winning the 2015 NBA championship if James decides to return home.

Now that is saying a lot considering Cleveland has been one of the worst teams in the NBA over the past three years. You can bet one thing. If James is planning on returning to Cleveland, the Cavs must be planning something big in the way of moves.

James has reportedly reached out to former teammate Mike Miller and one other free agent about joining forces in Cleveland - if James decided to leave the Heat. Add to that the rumors that the Cavs are also pursuing a trade for Kevin Love and once again the Cavs may be the beast of the East.

Stay tuned.
